About Tien Tien Piece:
In its roots, this still feels like a Borderlands game. A lot of the mechanics are exactly the same. This in my opinion is good, it’s still the looter shooter we all know and love. Let’s start out with the positive. It feels as Borderlands, and as always there’re tons of loot and lots of great weapons and shields that all feel slightly different from each other. Graphics look great, environments have enough variations and in comparison to the Borderlands games, maps have a bit more depth here. They’re not just big open maps, but also have multiple levels in height. The story is fun, but nothing to write home about, and in that aspect lacks a bit behind on the Borderlands games. But as always the game has just enough humor to stay funny and interesting while not overdoing it. Talking about the story, side quests are tons of fun and actually surprised me a lot! Some side quests are so detailed they unlock completely new area’s and maps you otherwise would’ve not visited. I also liked the dice that you can find throughout the map. They’re like small weapon chests. Now on to the less good aspects. Sadly characters are really underwhelming. And I get it, it’s supposed to be like DnD where you roll play and create your own character, but unlockable skills are just not interesting at all. The only fun part was being able to combine 2 classes in one.
